How do I upload a savegame to my Project Zomboid server?

Upload a savegame to GPORTAL server

Before you make any changes to your server, always stop your server first via our web interface.

Für das Hochladen von Server-Spielständen, empfehlen wir ein FTP Tool wie Filezilla.

Proceed as follows if you want to upload a savegame:

  1. First, open the path on your PC where your local saves for Project Zomboid are located.
    The default path is usually:
    C:/Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Zomboid
  2. Open the “Saves” folder and you will find all your worlds there
Note that they will be sorted into subfolders again, according to the game mode you have chosen.
  3. Now log in to your FTP tool and connect to your server (on the right side you will see the server data, on the left side the local data on your PC)
  4. Navigate on the right side to the following path:
    /Saves/Multiplayer
  5. Now load the saves folder on your PC into the just mentioned path of your server.
  6. Now start your server and have fun playing!

Hint The uploaded world or savegame will then be displayed with the name “servertest”.
