Basic server configuration

Create backup

You can create backups for your GPORTAL server if you want to. You receive free storage space for saving your game play.

Note Please note that backups are not created automatically.

How to create a backup via the web interface:

  1. Log on to our website
  2. Click on “My Servers” in the menu on the left
  3. Select the desired server
  4. Click on “Backup” in the “Administration” menu on the left
  5. Click on “Create Backup“
  6. The server stops for the backup
  7. After creating the backup, the server restarts automatically

  • Click on “Backup” in the “Administration” menu on the left
  • Click on “Create Backup”
  • You see the backup in the list below

How to become an Admin in the game?

  1. Copy your Steam 64 ID*
  2. Log on to our website
  3. Select the server
  4. Stop the server
  5. Click on “Basic Settings” in the menu on the left
  6. Enter your Steam 64 ID in the Basic Settings of the GPORTAL web interface
  7. Save and restart the server

Mordhau’s Admin commands can be found directly in the game’s console. You can find the key to open the console under keystrokes in the game options.

Basic questions / FAQs

How many slots are possible?

Mordhau offers 6 – 64 slots. The number of slots depends on the game mode. In co-op mode, up to 6 players can fight against charging hordes. In the other game modes such as Battle Royale or Siege, up to 64 players can be online at the same time.

How to connect with a server?

In game

  1. Log on with your GPORTAL account
  2. Select the server
  3. Click on “Basic Settings” in the menu on the left
  4. Take a note of your server’s IP and port
  5. Start the game
  6. Click on “Multiplayer”
  7. Click on “Connect directly”
  8. Enter IP and port
  9. Connect to the server

Connect via Steam

  1. Open Steam and click on “Show”
  2. Click on “Server”
  3. Navigate to “Favorites” and right mouse click in the empty field
  4. Enter your server’s IP and Query Port
  5. Update the Favorites
  6. Double click on the new entry and connect

How can I change the speed of the game?

If you want to change the game speed, you can do it as admin with the following command:

Slomo x

X stands for a numerical value.
1 = normal speed
0.5 = half speed
2 = double speed

How do I add mods to my MORDHAU server?

You can choose mods on the mod.io page. You will find the required mod ID behind the name of the mod.

  1. Search for your desired mod at mod.io and copy the mod ID.
  2. Paste the mod ID into the “Mods” section at the top of the settings.
  3. Start your server and give it about 5 minutes to download everything.
  4. Now restart the server again and connect
  5. Have fun with your new mods!

How do I use a mod map on my MORDHAU server?

Here we have explained how to install mods on your server. If the normal maps get too boring, there are also many mod maps on mod.io. Here we show you how to install and use them.

  1. Open the GPORTAL web interface and navigate to the basic settings.
  2. Stop your server
  3. Enter the Mod-ID of the desired map into the basic settings.
  4. Open the configuration files and load Game.ini
  5. Enter the desired map with MapRotation=NameOfTheMap and save the changes.
  6. Start your server and connect
  7. You can now change to your new map with the command “ChangeLevel NameOfTheMap”

How do I ban other players from my server?

If you want to ban a player from your server, use the following command as an admin:

ban [Spielername]

The player name must be entered exactly as it is displayed directly in the game. You can also use the player ID. This can be displayed with the command ListPlayers.

If you want to unban a player, use the command:

Unban [Spielername]

How can I kick another player from my server?

If you want to remove a player from your server for the moment, use the following command:

Kick [Player Name]

The player name must be entered exactly as it is displayed directly in the game. You can also use the player ID. This can be displayed with the command ListPlayers.
