So far, Aloft understandably sounds like a rather cozy survival game that you can fire up in the evening in a cozy atmosphere to explore the world. However, this shouldn't lead you down the wrong path, as there are of course dangers waiting for you. Contaminated islands that are infested with fungi and spread their spores pose a threat that, while not really scary, should not be underestimated. Nevertheless, you will be able to play more PvE-like in Aloft and, if you wish, play cozy or face off against opponents if necessary.

Aloft not only gives you the opportunity to survive in a new and fascinating world and collect resources, you can also actively shape it with your own island. With the resources you find and collect, you can set up a floating base and build it the way you want it - whether it's a small base or a huge fortress, virtually anything is possible. One highlight: you can learn with the help of a sketchbook and create all kinds of buildings yourself as sketches and build them on your island. As the world in Aloft is of course something special, your island is not static, which means that you can move around your island and explore new islands or visit friends.
