Conan Exiles Dungeons: Overview - Part 1
In Conan Exiles, there are quite a few barriers that you have to overcome in order to progress in the game and also get higher-value items and level up. One thing you should not miss is the exploration of the dungeons. Which dungeons there are and what you can find there, you can read in the following GPORTAL blog about the Conan Exiles dungeons part 1.
Black Keep
We start directly with a dungeon that not only demands a very high level from you, but also challenges your fighting skills. Located up in the north of the snow biome, you will find the Black Keep and you will not only have to be well equipped for the boss fight, even the way to the entrance of the dungeon is difficult, because the cold will get to you if you are not dressed appropriately.
As soon as you enter the dungeon through the entrance, the first enemies will probably be waiting for you. The Silent Legion fighters are hard to take down, as they have very high health, deal a lot of damage and also spread corruption. So be well prepared and have some potions with you, for example, so that you can get rid of the corruption quickly. Once the way to the boss called The Kinscourge (Tyros, the Deathbringer) is clear, you have to be prepared for a tough fight. The Kinscourge has a rather slow attack speed, but each of his hits really packs a punch. Therefore, if you get the idea to fight him from a distance, he will use a special attack that appears magical. If the fight against the boss lasts too long, he will cast an AoE attack that will take up the entire room - so it's really important that you have a high level and are well equipped, or at best even fight him with a group.
Once The Kinscourge is done, you can collect the following loot:
- Recipes for the Pride of the Silent Legion armor, which has really good stats and Kinscourge weapons, two swords, one one-handed, the other two-handed. Both are extremely strong swords
- The heart of the boss, The Kinscourge. You can sacrifice this in Hanuman's Grotto, for example, to get a monkey pet with a small chance or a potion that gives you a random buff for an hour
- Tears of Two Races - this is one of the six artifacts you need to craft the keystone
Midnight Grove
To enter this dungeon of Jhebbal Sag, you must first seek out and approach the Child of Jhebbal Sag. You can buy the Potion of Midnight from him for 5x Feral Flesh. A little hint: you can also learn the knowledge of the Midnight Alchemist from him and make the Potion of Midnight yourself from that point on. Drink the potion and you will gain access to the dungeon.
As in any other dungeon, all sorts of creatures are waiting for you, of course, and they do not like visitors at all. You will encounter numerous aggressive enemies and you will have to get a somewhat higher level in order to get through and fight them all. There are four bosses that will demand a lot from you, and all four are listed below:
- Brother of the Night: a strong and larger black panther, which can score points especially with its agility. He has a lot of health and after defeating this boss you get some loot, among other things with some luck also the shadow flower
- Brother of the Moon: the giant silverback gorilla is just waiting to test your power. He has even more health than the black panther, but with the right level he should not be a big challenge. From him you also get some loot and among other things with a little luck the shadow flower
- Brother of the Mists: the third boss has heavy attacks that can inflict a lot of damage, but with some skill you can dodge them well or block some attacks with a shield. Outside his battle ring is fog, which deals stackable damage, so be careful not to enter the area. Also there is loot for you after striking down the bull and again the chance to get the shadow flower
- Brother of the Blood: now you have arrived at the last and also most important boss of this dungeon. This bloodthirsty werewolf is the brother of the child of Jhebbal Sag. This boss really does not take any jokes and is not interested in giving you a great break during the fight. The most important thing here is to have a shield, with which you will try to block his attacks for the most part, and while he is performing his Werewolf Call, you can strike quickly - however, this will all take a while. Loot you will receive from the werewolf includes the Flesh of Remembrance, this you must ingest to unlock the Religion of Jhebbal Sag, the Arbor of Jhebbal Sag
Palace of the Witch Queen
In the forgotten city of Xel-ha you will find this dungeon. In the center of the structure there is a door that you simply have to go through, but be on your guard, because you will end up fighting directly against the boss, the Witch Queen. Before you take on the actual boss, you should, if possible, eliminate the two bodyguards of her, because they would only distract you unnecessarily during the fight. Do not be fooled by the appearance of the guards: even though they look like stone statues, they can move a bit and, most importantly, strike hard.
After you destroy one of the guards, laser beams will be fired in the room, which you should definitely avoid, because they cause a lot of damage. Once you have killed both guards, the witch queen will appear and start fighting with you. Unlike the previous dungeons above, however, the Witch Queen is quite pleasant, as she is fast and deals good damage, but she does not have a lot of health, which makes it easier to take her down. Below is a listing of the loot once the Witch Queen is history:
- Recipes: you can learn some recipes to craft two strong weapons, a sword and a spear, and two different armors once you interact with the throne
- From the Witch Queen herself, you can get the Mask of the Witch Queen, which is also necessary as an artifact to craft the Keystone. In addition, you will receive the key to Razma's quarters, which you can use to open a door in Sepermeru to be able to meet Razma
The Sunken City
An extraordinary dungeon is located in the Sunken City. In order to gain access to the dungeon, you will have to take a boat and jump off at a suitable place. Here, of course, an underwater breathing mask would come in handy, but you can only get it from a legendary T4 Thrall, so breathing potions are probably a faster choice. In addition to the oxygen issues, there are also the problems brought on by the sandstorms in the area, you realize preparation is everything here. The underwater city consists of a full seven temples, but to complete the dungeon you only need the last final temple and defeat the boss called The Ritual Keeper there.
Nevertheless, you should not leave the other six temples to the left, even though the intermediate paths through the water are of course exhausting and risky. You can find really good loot after successfully fighting the other bosses, including mainly recipes, strong weapons and other high-quality items. Before you enter the final temple, you can enter the last of the remaining six and release prisoners there, who will then help you fight the final boss. As you make your way to the boss, smaller bosses will keep getting in your way, which you can either fight or ignore. At some point you will come across a well, jump in there and you will virtually end up in the boss fight.
Now you will face Dagon cultists, which you will have to kill first before the final opponent appears. During the boss fight, you should be careful not to get hit by her too often, because she causes the bleeding effect with her fast dagger attacks. After her death, two portals open in the room, one of them leads back to the jungle, the other one takes you to the desert. You can get the following loot from the final boss fight:
- The Daggers of Dagon: these daggers are an absolute asset to the rest of the game, not only are they fast, they tear the flesh of your enemies, causing them to bleed extremely
The Barrow King
This dungeon is one of the easier ones and is fortunately not packed with countless enemies. Located in the west, you need to open a door into the abyss, similar to a tomb. To be able to open this door, you need to carry demon blood with you, otherwise the door will remain locked. As mentioned before, unlike other dungeon bosses, the boss is easier to defeat, however, you should rely on a certain tactic with him. Dodging will not work, as he has such a long range that he will hit you anyway. As soon as he wants to cast his attack, you should go in and try to hit him at the back. Once you have successfully fought the boss, you will get the knowledge called Vanquisher of the King Beneath, which you can use to craft a strong spear and strong daggers. The second loot is the Diadem of the Giant Kings, also one of the six artifacts for making the Keystone.
The Dregs
You can find the dungeon below the unnamed city, as a channel system, but to open the descent you need to perform blood sacrifices on the stone circle, for this you can take any enemy NPC. Once you have entered the dungeon, you will have to change the water flow in some places to be able to advance. For this you will need a bow with arrows, so make sure to pack one, besides your high-quality armor and strong weapons of course. As enemies, Komodo dragons and skeletons will cross your path, but you can ignore them. Once you get to the boss room, you will not be able to miss the Abysmal Remnant boss, which is a huge snake. As a ranged attack, it will spit venom at you and should you get too close, it will bite and just because it initially rests in its acid pool, you should not make the mistake of going near it because it can emerge from that pool as well. After the Abysmal Remnant has passed away, you will be able to obtain the following loot:
- Knowledge of various items, including for example the Dredger Knowledge, which will unlock the recipe for the Breathing Potions, a Glowing Torch, and more. Additionally, you can then craft Abysmal Arrows, Abysmal Daggers, the Abysmal Sword, and the Reptile Leather Armor. Once you have interacted with the book from the previous acid pool and learned the knowledge, be sure to exit it quickly as the acid will replenish and damage you
- Other loot from the boss include the Abysmal Eye, the Abysmal Fang, the Abysmal Flesh, and the Staff of the Triumvirate
