Of course, not every class in Enshrouded is equally suitable for every player, as preferences are distributed differently. It's just as likely that you would choose different skills and weapons with the Ranger than the ones we list in the blog article, for example. So to be honest, it is rather difficult to almost impossible to name THE best Ranger build and THE best Enshrouded build in general. The best abilities for the Enshrouded Ranger

You have the choice between what feels like countless skills that you can use to perfect your ranger build. Of course, you should also look out for skills that suit your build. We consider the following skills to be particularly recommended for the Ranger:

• Multi-Shot: Increases the chance of shooting a whole barrage of arrows and thus being able to inflict more damage - 3 skill points
• Eagle Eye: With this skill you significantly increase the zoom when using a bow - 3 skill points
• Marksman: Ranged damage is increased by 10% - 2 skill points
• Bee Sting: While you are in the air with a glider, you can use your bow, but this also consumes 10 stamina per second - 3 skill points
• Sharpshooter: This increases your ranged damage by 20% again - 2 skill points
• Skill Shot: The damage from headshots on enemies is increased by 20% - 3 skill points
• Silent Stride: Your movement speed when sneaking is increased -3 skill points
• Swiftshot Sustenance: If you defeat an enemy with a bow, you have a 30% chance of a stamina orb spawning - 2 skill points

Best weapons and arrows for the Ranger

Bows

• Wildwood Shortbow: The first bow is more suitable for the beginnings of a Ranger in Enshrouded, as you can find it quite easily in any crate. If you want the legendary version of the Wildwood Shortbow, you should look out for golden crates. The draw speed is 0.6 seconds, the arrow speed is +7% and the durability of the legendary version is 250
• Ignited Bow: This bow is pretty special, because if you have upgraded it far enough, it can deal additional fire damage with each hit, which increases the overall damage over time. However, you can only find the bow in golden chests in the Kindlewastes. The arrow speed is +20%, the draw speed is 0.6 seconds and the durability is 300
• Shadowbane Bow: One of the strongest bows in Enshrouded is definitely the Shadowbane Bow. When fully upgraded, it has some pretty neat effects, such as draining stamina and health from enemies you hit and using it to help you survive longer in the Shroud. The best place to find the legendary version is in the Kindlewastes or Summit, keep an eye out for golden chests and be patient. The draw speed is 0.6 seconds, the arrow speed is +20% and the durability is 260
• Silvershot Bow: The last bow can only be obtained in the chests and as loot from bosses in the Hollowed Halls. Not only can this take some time, but the many enemies waiting for you don't exactly make the task any easier. But it's worth it, because the fully upgraded Silvershot bow is really powerful. Not only can you drain stamina, but ice damage is also added and there is the double “Sacred” upgrade, which provides 10% more damage against the enemies in the Hollowed Halls. The draw speed is 0.6 seconds, the arrow speed is +33% and the durability is 220

Arrows

• Shroud Arrow: The Shroud Arrows are special arrows that harness the power of the Shroud. On impact, a Shroud cloud swirls up around the enemy, dealing area damage, making the Shroud Arrow good against a group of enemies. The production requires 10x branch, 1x goo and 1x shroud bag
• Explosive Arrow: The explosive arrows also belong to the special arrows and cause a small explosion as soon as they hit - they also deal area damage, which is also good against multiple opponents. You need 25x flint arrows, 10x tar and 5x lumps of clay to make them
• Stun Arrow: The last arrows do not deal damage, but stun your opponents for a moment, which you can either use to inflict damage or flee - the larger the opponent hit, the shorter the stun lasts. The following materials are required: 10x Twig, 10x Insect Dust, 2x Goo and 1x Alchemical Base

Further equipment

• Healing potions: Of course, healing potions are always a good idea and you can make them in different sizes, giving you either 200, 400, 800 or 1000 health points
• Chicken Soup: Chicken soup gives you +4 Constitution and +1 Dexterity for 40 minutes
• Vegetable Puree: This dish gives you +3 Dexterity for 35 minutes
• Stir-Fried Vegetables: Gives you +5 Dexterity for 45 minutes

Strong Ranger Armor

There are of course many armors in Enshrouded that have unique stats and make you stronger, but for the Enshrouded Ranger build you should go for the Eagle Eye armor, because it increases all the important stats that are essential for a Ranger. However, since you can only find the Eagle Eye armor in the Kindlewastes, you should prepare well beforehand. The Eagle Eye armor offers you the following stats:

• +15% critical strike chance in ranged combat
• +13% damage on critical hits
• +66 stamina
• +24 health points
• +12% ranged damage
• +6% damage against ranged opponents
• +1 sprint speed
• +3 stamina regeneration
• -350 stamina recovery time reduction

Tips and tricks for the Enshrouded Ranger build

As with every Enshrouded build, there are of course advantages and disadvantages for the Ranger. If you choose this class, you will be less able to shine in close combat and should have good marksmanship. Otherwise, you have to be on the lookout for resources almost constantly in order to be able to produce a constant supply of arrows, but at the same time you are effective from ambush and, depending on the weapon, also good to use against groups.

Otherwise, as a ranger in Enshrouded you should always make use of your surroundings and the terrain and attack your opponents from elevated and hidden positions. In battle, however, you should keep moving so that you don't become easy prey. Keep an eye on your stamina so that you don't suddenly run out of breath and can no longer shoot arrows or run. You should also switch between arrows from time to time, depending on what or who you want to fight.
