Who is Virginia?

We do not have much information about Virginia at the beginning of the game, except that she is one of the people we are supposed to find on the island. After you have crashed on the island along with your crew and helped Kelvin get back on his feet, it probably will not take you that long to notice an elf-like figure in the distance. It seems as if she is afraid of you and is hiding, but what is even more striking is that this young woman has 3 legs and 3 arms. However, before you can take a closer look at the figure, it suddenly disappears again. This appearance is Virginia, who is watching you with curiosity, but remains at a safe distance. Why Virginia is here, or who she is at all, remains unclear at first.

Find Virginia and become friends with her

As soon as you try to approach Virginia, you will quickly notice that she will always flee from you, whether you move slowly or run to her seems to make no difference - but be sure that it does make a difference to Virginia. In the best case scenario, ignore Virginia at first and just let her roam around your immediate area. As soon as she feels safer and gets the feeling that there is no danger from you, she will always come a little closer to you before she flees again. When she approaches you, it is best to put your gun away to appear less threatening to her.

If Virginia has watched you long enough and spent enough time near you to be sure that you and also Kelvin will not harm her, she will gain more and more confidence until eventually the moment comes that she continues to stay close without fleeing again. With a little luck she will even sit down on the ground or a bench nearby and start snacking on something, whether berries or rabbits is up to her.

As you become more and more friends with Virginia, she will start basking near you, bringing you gifts, such as fish or herbs, and asking you to follow her so she can show you specific items. To show you that you are behaving correctly towards her, Virginia has a special way: she starts dancing and lolling on a tree. If you manage to get all her trust, it will pay off extremely, because unlike Kelvin, Virginia is a real fighting machine.

Abilities of Virginia

Unlike the companion Kelvin, you cannot give Virginia orders - but that is not the only difference. If Virginia's affinity continues to increase in the game and she becomes more and more friendly with you, she will eventually bring usable items and also accept items from you, including, for example, weapons, outfits or a GPS tracker.

She probably will not use her weapons at first, but as time passes, she will be a good support for you in battles - you see, Virginia is just as valuable a support as Kelvin, though quite different. Can Virginia die?

Unlike Kelvin, Virginia can die if she is attacked by hostile creatures and takes a lot of damage - so watch her carefully. However, if you attack her, she will get scared and flee from you and stop staying near you. If you do not help Virginia quickly enough when she is being attacked, she will die and will be irretrievable, just like Kelvin.
