V Rising Iron Ore and Iron Ingots
In the vampiric survival game V Rising you naturally want to make your own vampire stronger and stronger and build your castle even more imposing than ever before. Iron is an essential and very important resource for this - where you can find iron ore and how you can process it into iron ingots will be explained here.
Finding and mining Iron Ore
First of all, we're sorry to say that you'll find most of the iron ore in the Haunted Iron Mine in Dunley Farmlands. Before you head there, however, you should have your vampire properly upgraded and carrying the best weapons you can find at the time of departure, because the resident enemies there don't take any jokes and not least the boss called "Meredith the Bright Archer" is to be avoided at all costs at the beginning.
The Haunted Iron Mine can be found in the south of Dunley Farmlands, but there are other places where you can find veins of iron ore without the risk of running into a powerful boss. You can also find iron ore a little west of the Iron Mine, in the center or northwest of the Dunley Farmlands, or in the east of the Cursed Forest. An overview of the regions in the V Rising world Vardoran can be found here in our Guide to the different regions.
How can I mine iron ore?
The locations of Iron Ore are now known to you and maybe you have already been able to find some Iron in crates, but somehow you have to mine all the Iron Ore and this can be done primarily with "Merciless Copper Weapons", which are an upgrade of the normal Copper Weapons. The best weapon to use is the Merciless Copper Mace, as it deals an additional 25% physical damage to minerals, which ensures that you can mine the Iron Ore very efficiently.
Iron Ingots - Smelting Iron Ore
Your pockets are full of Iron and you are now wondering how you can now turn this valuable resource into the Iron Ingots you need to finally upgrade armor, weapons and your Vampire Castle. As the process suggests and as you probably already know from Copper Ore, you also need the smelting furnace for the Iron Ingots.
After you have returned to your castle and want to melt down your Iron Ore, you will first need the recipe for Iron Ingots. If you don't have it yet, you must first defeat Quincey, the Bandit King (Level 37) in the north of Farbane Woods. After a successful battle against the V Blood boss, you can finally go to your smelting furnace and produce the desired Iron ingots. In addition, you will now have the opportunity to build a smithy, which you will need to produce the appropriate armor and weapons from the Iron ingots. For the production of the smithy you need the following ingredients:
- 200 Blood Essence
- 32 Iron ingots
- 16 Sulfur
Hints: In a closed castle room the speed of the forge increases by 25% and with a suitable smelting floor you need 25% less material. Also, build several smelting furnaces, because the processing time of Iron Ore to Iron Ingots is half an eternity.
