The bloodthirsty vampire survival adventure V Rising offers you a lot of variety with its large map. The world called Vardoran is divided into five different regions and we would like to introduce all of them here.

Farbane Woods

The Farbane Woods are the first region you'll get to see in V Rising, as this is also the starting region - which also means that this region is a rather easy one. However, even though the Farbane Woods serves as the starting region in V Rising, you'll still have to be prepared for some enemies that will try to make your life difficult, such as aggressive animals, deadly plants and attackers that lurk from the bandit camps, waiting for the next attack. Besides the bandit camps, the copper mine, the graveyard and the bandit fortress, which you can only enter thanks to explosives, are worth mentioning - but there you will face the bandit king named "Quincey".

As the name of the region suggests, it consists of many trees, which of course provide you with some shade and therefore help you stroll around the map during the day. In addition to protection from the sun, the Farbane Woods in V Rising also offer you a lot of resources that, especially in the beginning, will provide you with a number of new possibilities. You'll be able to collect lots of wood thanks to the variety of trees, as well as some bones, which are a very important ingredient for the Mist Braziers, for example.

Dunley Farmlands

Once you have spent your first hours in V Rising and have become a stronger vampire and know some tricks and techniques, you can head to the next largest area: the Dunley Farmlands. This area is heavily populated by the various villages and monasteries, but note that in the Dunley Farmlands the militia constantly guards the buildings and also knows how to defend them. You will also encounter abandoned farms haunted by creatures that make the otherwise friendly Dunley Farmlands seem rather gruesome.

This also applies to the huge iron mine in the Dunley Farmlands, which is the absolute highlight of the area. Countless guards stand in front of the iron mine, always ready to defend it in the fiercest way - but if you manage to enter the iron mine anyway, you can collect a lot of iron and equip yourself better. Another handy new discovery in the Dunley Farmlands are horses, with which you can explore Vardoran pretty quickly. In the area, besides the Farbane Woods, you will find most of the bosses and get valuable loot from them.

Cursed Forest

High up in the north of the world of V Rising, you'll find the Cursed Forest. The name, of course, suggests that the area is far from being as friendly and cozy as the Dunley Farmlands or the Farbane Woods. The dead trees and dark shadows are home to some uncomfortable creatures, such as witches and undead, who live in abandoned villages and are quite keen on fresh meat like you.

In the east of the area, for example, you'll find an abandoned village haunted by ancient spirits - if you dare to enter the darkness of the Cursed Forest, you'll be rewarded with all sorts of magic resources that you won't find anywhere else. Of course, as you would expect in a Cursed Forest, you'll also encounter V Bloods such as the Spider Queen "Ungora" or "Foulrot the Soultaker" - and they're as unpleasant as they sound.

Hallowed Mountains

In the west of the world of V Rising, you'll find the Hallowed Mountains, which are mainly characterized by ice cold snowy landscapes. Even though this area is rather small, you will also have to constantly prove your strength here - it is advisable to visit this area later, as the bosses located there have quite a strength that will probably surprise you. However, the two bosses "Frostmaw the Mountain Terror" and "Terrorclaw the Ogre" ensure exciting fights and are worth a trip for that reason alone.

Silverlight Hills

Contrary to what the name of the area suggests, it impresses with its very autumnal look and the many colorful trees and leaves. However, as cozy as this area looks, you should pay even more attention to your surroundings and any movements of various enemies. Brighthaven, the largest city in V Rising, is located here and includes a harbor district, a cathedral, slum neighborhoods and a town square.

In the outer borders and in the north of the Silverlight Hills you will find some resources such as silver. Once you have collected silver and process it further, you can create very strong weapons that will allow you to fight against other powerful enemies and V Bloods. Note, however, that vampires take damage from silver, so fill your inventory with enough healing potions to carry this precious ore. Two other highlights of the Silverlight Hills are the Vampire Waygate in the north, which you can use for teleportation, and the Fortress of Light in the east, where you can face the final boss named Solarus - but get powerful silver weapons and train hard enough.

Note: According to the developers of V Rising, there is a possibility that both areas, the Cursed Forest and the Hallowed Mountains, will be expanded in the course of time and therefore provide more variety and fun in V Rising.
